Welcome all! This is the WAHM Cave. What’s the WAHM Cave? All things WAHM. If you’re a work at home mom you’re in the WAHM cave everyday. One day it is the place you want to hide and on another you can’t wait to get away. We can share ideas or recipes, there are no rules allowed. Amid all the banter we’ll try to make the WAHM Cave a go to place to find key WAHM and SAHM resources. Whether you want to make a buck or a career, the WAHM Cave is here!
I couldn’t wait to get the relaunch of WAHM Cave off the ground and running. If you are already a WAHM, you know how it goes. Unless you are a passive income WAHM dependent on earnings from blogging, you may not get around to writing on your blog everyday.
Although writing is my first work at home love, WAHM Cave is a more general blog. It is a blog on all work at home topics. It will run the gamut from professional turned work-at-home mom to mom turned work-at-home mom and the challenges we face each day (or night).
Why do I care? I care because many moms are still feeling the stress of a hurting economy. Either they are out of work not by choice, or they find that in addition to being a stay-at-home mom, their family has had the primary bread winner lose hours, money, benefits or even worse, maybe their job. I want to contribute to the community that has helped me grow as a work-at-home mom.
Prior to making the decision to be a stay-at-home mom, I worked in a job I loved very much. However, I had to make the sacrifice to stay home near the end of a high risk pregnancy. Unfortunately, after building a family, the finances were not as built up as they used to be when we had just one child.
How can I help? My considerations to staying home and then deciding to work from home have given me experience in new areas and made me as resourceful as I was when I worked. That is something I can share. Whether you are a newbie looking for ways to get started, or a professional who wants to share ideas, I hope we can all work together to share our WAHMthusiasm.
